No injuries in I-57 crash

CHAMPAIGN — No injuries were reported in a two-vehicle collision on Interstate 57 Wednesday morning.

Illinois State Police said Linda Carnahan, 70, of Chrisman, and Christina Reifsteck, 34, of Tolono, were both driving their cars north near the Curtis Road exit at 7:48 a.m. when the accident happened.

Police said Carnahan, who was in the driving lane, tried to change lanes, and hit Reifsteck, who was in the passing lane.

Both cars went into the center median and Carnahan's overturned, coming to rest on its roof.

Police said neither of the women was injured, nor was a passenger in Carnahan's car, Tara Carnahan, 47, of Oakland. All were wearing seat belts.

Carnahan was ticketed for improper lane usage.
