HINDSBORO — An autopsy was scheduled for Monday (today, Feb. 13) on a 29-year-old Hindsboro man who died in a traffic accident Sunday morning.
The Douglas County coroner's office said Craig D. McConkey died in the single-vehicle accident Sunday.
Lt. Clint Howard of the Douglas County sheriff's office said Mr. McConkey was driving his Toyota Tundra east on County Road 100 N about 3/4 of a mile east of Illinois 130 when the truck left the road, crossed back over, hit a ditch and overturned, throwing him from the vehicle. Mr. McConkey was not wearing a seat belt, according to Howard.
Coroner Joseph Victor's office said Mr. McConkey was pronounced dead at 8:13 a.m.
