Danville driver set for court date in fatal accident
DANVILLE – Jury selection is set to begin today for the trial of a 23-year-old Georgetown man accused of running over a teen with a car in July 2006, then leaving the scene.
Jonathan Gallez faces charges of failing to stop at the scene of a personal injury accident, failing to report the accident and obstructing justice. Vermilion County Assistant State's Attorney Larry Mills said opening statements are set to begin Wednesday, and the trial is expected to wrap up Thursday.
