I.D.E.A. Store will open three days a week to start
CHAMPAIGN – The I.D.E.A. Store is scheduled to open in late September, and it will initially be open three days a week.
It is looking for donations, but it won't be accepting any more items until the store opens. Businesses and industries that want to donate materials can contact the I.D.E.A. Store by calling 352-7878 and leaving a message. It will soon be releasing a list of what it will and will not accept. All donated items must be clean, safe and non-toxic. The store will not accept any chemicals or any food containers.
Among the items the store would like donated are: paper, textiles, silk flowers, metal parts, keys, knobs, buttons, leather, wire, string, yarn, rope, games, ribbon, carpet squares, metal or plastic tubing, wooden dowels, photos, maps, beads, games, and damaged inventory.
The store is also looking for volunteers who will help sort donated items. For more information about the I.D.E.A. store, see its website at http://the-idea-store.org.
