Westville school board seats new members
WESTVILLE -- One new member and one returning member joined the Westville school board on Monday, following the election last month.
Dave Delanois, a lifelong Westville resident and retiree from TeePak in Danville, said he has been interested in the school board for a while. He said he has a particular interest in school policies.
Debbie Seripinas, who lives in rural Westville and is a hairdresser at Debbie's Beauty Salon, left the board in 2003 after serving two terms. She said the board members work well together, and that she learned a lot about school finances during her previous terms.
Superintendent Jim Owens said he appreciated the service of departing board members Dorothy Virostek and Kathe Quartier, but looked forward to working with the new board.
The school board's next regular meeting will be at 6:30 p.m. May 18.
