Negotiations ahead for Danville schools, union

DANVILLE — Danville school district and the union representing food service and custodial workers are gearing up to negotiate a new contract.

Superintendent Mark Denman said the district's three-year contract with the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 399 AFL-CIO expires on June 30. The two sides are set to start negotiations this spring.

The union represents about 105 food service workers and 51 custodians.
