PBL board to review architecture firms
PAXTON — The Paxton-Buckley-Loda school board's building and grounds committee has called a meeting for 5 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 30, at the unit office to review statements of interest received from firms interested in serving as the district's architectural firm.
Superintendent Cliff McClure said 14 firms submitted statements of interest to provide architectural services, and during the upcoming meeting, the board will select three to six firms to interview during a special meeting that will be held in December.
The board will rate each firm based on its professional qualifications before choosing a new architect, he said.
McClure has said the board wants an architectural firm "that can relate to us philosophically," with experience serving smaller, rural school districts. FGM Architects, a firm headquartered in Oak Brook, had been serving the district for an estimated 13 years.
