Applications open for DACC Foundation scholarships
DANVILLE — People can apply now for nearly 300 scholarships for the 2012-13 school year offered by the DACC Foundation. This year, the foundation awarded scholarships exceeding $260,000 to traditional, nontraditional, full- and part-time students.
First-time and current Danville Area Community College students and recent high school graduates are encouraged to apply. Applicants can complete one form to be considered for all scholarships.
Application forms are available at DACC offices and the library on the main campus, 2000 E. Main St.; at the DACC kiosk at the Village Mall, 2917 N. Vermilion St.; at the Danville Public Library, 319 N. Vermilion St.; and from area high school guidance counselors. They also are available at http://dacc.edu/foundation/schinfo.html.
Applications must be returned by 5 p.m. Feb. 29 to the DACC Foundation, Vermilion Hall Room 209, 2000 E. Main St., Danville, IL, 61832.
