Weibel re-elected to chairmanship of county board

URBANA – As expected, C. Pius Weibel was re-elected county board chairman Monday evening.
Weibel is a Democrat, and that party holds a 15 to 12 majority on the board. The Republicans ran John Jay of Mahomet. On party lines, the vote was 14 to 11, with Democrat Ralph Langenheim and Republican Kevin Hunt absent. Full story »
