Screening of local film set
A feature-length film directed by Mike Boedicker of Danville will be shown Wednesday evening on the University of Illinois campus.
The sneak preview of "Revolting" will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the Lucy Ellis Lounge, ground floor of the Foreign Language Building, 707 S. Mathews Ave., U, as part of the Champaign Movie Makers' monthly meeting.
Those attending will be asked to fill out comment forms so Boedicker can use the feedback to improve the film, which is in post-production. He expects to finish the final cut in early 2010 and submit the as-yet-unrated feature to film festivals.
"Revolting" is about a playwright (Bill Kephart of Tolono), who is talked into writing a sequel to his only hit play, "The Madcap Murderesses," which he loathes for multiple reasons. The original play's main characters materialize and make their creator's life a living hell.
The cast also includes Julia Megan Sullivan, Leslie Boedicker and Sharon Tipsword of Danville, and Eric Sizemore of Champaign.
