Climate change presentation set for DACC
DANVILLE — Danville Area Community College will host a climate change presentation that has its foundation in the Oscar award-winning documentary, "An Inconvenient Truth."
The presentation is scheduled for 7 p.m. Nov. 22 at DACC's Bremer Theater, 2000 E. Main St., Danville. It is free and open to the public.
The presentation will be given by Bruce A. Canal, a volunteer with the Climate Reality Project.
The Climate Reality Project consists of more than 3,000 volunteers around the globe who are personally trained by former Vice President and Nobel Laureate Al Gore to educate the public about climate change. Climate Reality presenters have reached a worldwide audience of more than 7.3 million people and are committed to preserving the climate balance upon which humanity depends.
DACC Wind Technology Instructor Charles Brummett will host the presentation as part of the College's ongoing sustainability and "green" education efforts.
