Meeting set Wednesday on 2012 Medicare Part D

URBANA — A community meeting to provide information about 2012 Medicare Part D prescription drug plans will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Urbana Free Library Lewis Auditorium, 210 W. Green St.
Information will be available about the upcoming open enrollment period, changes to benefits, Illinois state drug programs and recent attempts to cut Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid.
The meeting will be hosted by Champaign County Health Care Consumers Medicare Task Force and will include speakers from Family Service Senior Resource Center and the Illinois Alliance for Retired Americans. Co-sponsors include Provena Covenant Medical Center, the Provena Center for Healthy Aging and Illinois Disciples Foundation.
