IRS plans special hours to help in filing returns
CHAMPAIGN – The Internal Revenue Service office in Champaign will be open special hours Saturday to help people file tax returns so they can qualify for economic stimulus payments.
The IRS office at 310 W. Church St., C, will be open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. to help seniors, veterans, retirees, low-income workers and others who might not normally file a tax return but must do so this year to qualify for the special payments.
