Harley Raffle and Toy Poker Run scheduled for Saturday

The Marine Corps League Detachment No. 1231 is having its third annual Harley Raffle and Toy Poker Run on Saturday at Buffalo Wild Wings in Savoy.

Tickets for the raffle of the $27,000 Screaming Eagle Harley-Davidson will be $100 and are tax-deductible.

Registration for the poker run is at 9 a.m. The run starts at 11 a.m. The raffle starts at 4 p.m.; a bike show is scheduled from 4 to 6 p.m.

The Marines ask residents to bring a new unwrapped toy, though no stuffed animals, to receive a gift certificate.

In other news

Motorcycle races set for July 29. The 12th Annual Dick Andrae Memorial motorcycle races, sponsored by Track Enterprises, along with Andrae's Harley-Davidson in Urbana, is scheduled for July 29 during the Champaign County Fair in Urbana.

The event will include both local and professional riders. Last year, more than 100 riders participated in the half-mile flat track race.

The AMA Pro-Am Motorcycle races will include 13 classes, including the veteran motorcycles. Motorcycle action begins with a sign-up at 3 p.m., practice at 5 p.m. and racing at 7 p.m.
