UI tuition increases proposed
URBANA – The University of Illinois is recommending current students pay 8 percent more in tuition next year, and incoming freshmen in 2004 – who will have their tuition rate guaranteed for four years by the "truth in tuition" law – pay 16 percent more than the current tuition rate.
The UI Board of Trustees will discuss the recommended increases at its Thursday meeting in Urbana.
