C-U tram system endorsed

CHAMPAIGN – More of the same local bus system isn't serving residents well and certainly won't accommodate even modest growth, consultants told the Champaign-Urbana Mass Transit District on Wednesday.

Representatives from the Washington Infrastructure Group and its affiliates urged the district to pursue a fixed guideway system to augment a traditional bus fleet now used to capacity.
