GIBSON CITY – The husband of a missing Gibson City woman has been charged with first-degree murder after the woman's body was found in rural Ford County Monday morning.
Robert T. Osborne, 28, of Gibson City remained in custody Tuesday at the Ford County Jail for the murder of his wife, Danyelle M. Osborne, 26. Their address was 631 Nelson Ave.
Mrs. Osborne had been reported missing from her home since early Sunday morning.
Ford County Sheriff William Kean discovered her body under a bridge southeast of Gibson City at about 11 a.m. Monday. That evening, Gibson City police arrested Osborne. Bond has been set at $500,000.
Ford County State's Attorney Tony Lee said the charge against Osborne claims that Mrs. Osborne died of blunt force trauma.
A preliminary hearing for Osborne is scheduled for Nov. 22 in the Ford County Courthouse, Paxton.
