Unit 4 wants amended legislation

CHAMPAIGN – The Champaign school board approved a qualified letter of support Tuesday afternoon for creating two economic development districts in the south campus area of the University of Illinois.

But a top Champaign city official said the letter is too little, too late for legislation allowing the cities to create the districts to be approved this session in Springfield. The session ended Tuesday.
