Majority of recent business graduates receive bonuses

For the past four years, college business majors got used to having their starting dates pushed back, pool of job offers drained and their opening salaries decreasing. But business could be back on an upswing.

Fifty-three percent of recent University of Illinois College of Business graduates were offered starting bonuses for their jobs, said Lois Meerdink, assistant dean for business career services. The year before, 32 percent reported receiving bonuses.
