Campuses accepting student refugees
URBANA – The University of Illinois is opening its doors to students from colleges and universities shut down by Hurricane Katrina.
The Urbana campus says it has room for up to 40 students from Loyola University of New Orleans, Tulane University or other schools devastated by the storm. And the UI's Guided Individual Study program, an online instructional program, will be made available to students who can't come to campus.
