UI's charitable fund drive begins this week
URBANA – The University of Illinois is helping those affected by Hurricane Katrina by opening its doors to students from the Gulf region and collecting donations for relief efforts.
This week, it will also be asking employees to donate to organizations doing charitable work in Champaign-Urbana and throughout the state, the country and the world. The UI begins its annual Campus Charitable Fund Drive on Tuesday.
