URBANA – Jurors decided Wednesday that 80 acres south of Urbana will cost the University of Illinois $8,800 an acre, or total of $704,000, in an eminent domain hearing.

That's higher than two appraisers for the university valued the land. They said its best use is farming, so it was worth $5,000 an acre.
