Concrete walkway to put Hessel visitors on safe path

CHAMPAIGN – For years, walking around Hessel Park has pitted pedestrians against drivers.

By the end of October, though, there will be an 8-foot-wide concrete path safely within the confines of the 1918 park, and for the first time it will be accessible to people with mobility issues.
