Houston school thanks Champaign students for help

HOUSTON – Usually, parents send their children to Houston's Briarmeadow Charter School because they are looking for an alternative to traditional teaching methods. Lately, though, families have been showing up at the school's doors because they have nowhere else to go.

Briarmeadow, like all Houston schools, is welcoming children displaced by hurricanes Katrina and Rita.
