Former school teacher, coach to face trial

DECATUR– A former Monticello High School teacher and coach will be tried in early December for the indecent solicitation of sex from a child through the Internet.

Larry Albaugh, 53, of Monticello, Monday waived his right to a jury trial. Albaugh, a former physical education and driver's education teacher, assistant football coach and one-time head wrestling coach at Monticello High School, has been charged with two Class 3 felony counts of solicitation of sex from a child under the age of 17.
