Rantoul has mass transit interest

RANTOUL – While mass transit service is an unpopular topic in places like Savoy, Wilbur Heights and southwest Champaign, at least one community is interested in getting it.

Rantoul Mayor Neal Williams said Monday he plans to meet with Champaign-Urbana Mass Transit District General Manager Bill Volk within the next several weeks about the possibility of establishing mass transit service in Rantoul.
