Village to appeal fire chief ruling

RANTOUL – The Rantoul Village Board decided Monday to appeal a court decision that allowed Richard Quick to remain as the village's fire chief.

Following a 19-minute closed session to discuss litigation, the board voted 6-0 to appeal a Dec. 5 court ruling by Circuit Judge Michael Q. Jones to the 4th District Court of Appeals in Springfield.
