County board to look at benefits for partners

URBANA – The Champaign County Board will consider later this month whether to provide domestic partner benefits for nonunion employees.

The proposed policy, which is on the county board's Jan. 26 agenda, would cover both gay and straight couples who meet the county's definition of domestic partners.
