Speaker says government failed Katrina victims
URBANA – The former mayor of New Orleans said that government at every level has failed to prevent or repair the damage caused by Hurricane Katrina.
National Urban League President Marc Morial was speaking about the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. on Thursday on the University of Illinois campus, but had brief comments about Katrina during a question-and-answer session.
