Several members express interest in leading Unit 4 board

CHAMPAIGN – Scott Anderson said his decision to resign as Champaign school board president was made simply to assure a smooth board transition in 2007.

Anderson, who's been board president for five years, formally announced his resignation Monday. He said district issues including a March referendum had no influence on his decision.
