City council member leaving area

CHAMPAIGN – Veteran Champaign City Council member Kathy Ennen plans to move to Southport, N.C., late this summer and will resign then from the city council, she said this morning.

Ennen, who has served nearly seven years on the city council as an at-large member, said her husband, Donald, has accepted a job in Southport as business and commercial director with Primary Energy, an Oak Brook-based power generation company.
