Douglas County's McGrew will keep position
TUSCOLA – Douglas County Sheriff Charlie McGrew won the Republican nomination for another term Tuesday, beating challenger Larry B. Skinner 2,615 to 1,182. No Democrats are running for the office.
McGrew, 58, of Arcola has served as county sheriff since November 2004 and worked in law enforcement since he returned from Vietnam in 1968.
