Trustees to vote on higher student fees

URBANA – Several University of Illinois student fees are likely to increase next year.

In addition to a proposal to raise tuition, UI trustees on Tuesday are expected to vote on increases to room-and-board fees; general student fees which cover, for example, health services; plus a new fee that would create a need- and merit-based scholarship.
