Urbana council discusses draft of smoking ban

URBANA – It appears likely the Urbana and Champaign city councils will vote in May on proposed ordinances that would ban smoking in most public places, including bars and restaurants.

The Urbana council met in caucus after its regular meeting Monday and discussed a draft ordinance, put together by the Champaign-Urbana Smoke Free Alliance, that would ban smoking in most public places.
