Faculty committee questions financial company

A University of Illinois faculty committee has taken on a financial company, alleging it is shortchanging UI employees in their annuity contracts.

Earlier this spring, the UI Senate unanimously and without debate approved a resolution that called for the UI Benefits Center and Illinois Attorney General Lisa Madigan to check and verify AIG SunAmerica's annuity calculations as well as review and monitor the company's marketing practices.
