Two of top 5 physics papers have UI connections

The American Institute of Physics, which turns 75 this year, asked its journals to pick their top five papers ever in commemoration.

For the venerable Applied Physics Letters that's a pretty big job. The journal has published nearly 65,000 pieces in its 43-year history.
