Man accused of choking officer during arrest

URBANA – An Urbana police officer was choked by a man who was being arrested at an Urbana apartment complex Friday night.

Arrested for attempted murder, aggravated battery and resisting arrest was Malcolm Jones, 19, who listed an address in the 2000 block of Vawter Street, Urbana.
