Jury foreman allegedly re-enacted testimony
URBANA – A juror involved in the mistrial of a Champaign dentist accused of criminal sexual assault said she could not in good conscience allow a fellow juror's re-enactment of one of the alleged sex acts sway other jurors.
Mary Burke of Champaign, a legal assistant to Urbana attorney Tom Bruno for 18 years, told The News-Gazette on Friday that she was the juror in Scot Brewer's criminal sexual assault case who sent a note to Judge Heidi Ladd first thing Friday morning telling her what the jury foreman had said in the jury room.
