Fair group, Farmer City nearing showdown over South Park

FARMER CITY – The Farmer City Fair Association has given the Farmer City Council a deadline of Sept. 15.

If talks haven't begun by that date, the association plans to serve notice to the city to terminate the lease the city has on South Park within 60 days and to remove all the improvements and structures at the park and restore it to farmland within 30 days after that.
