Physicians seek to open surgicenter

CHAMPAIGN – A Clinton-based weight loss surgeon has notified a state planning board that he plans to seek permission to build an outpatient surgery center on Champaign's northwest side.

A letter of intent to file an application for a so-called certificate of need has been sent to the Illinois Health Facilities Planning Board by Olympian Surgical Suites, a corporation based in Clinton.
