Hilton Garden Inn expected to open this month
CHAMPAIGN – The area manager for the new Hilton Garden Inn said he expects the 99-room hotel to open sometime this month – with a chamber of commerce group getting a sneak peak on Thursday.
The new hotel, which incorporates part of the former Chancellor Hotel and Convention Center at Neil Street and Kirby Avenue, was originally expected to open in mid-September. But construction delays postponed the opening a few weeks.
