Online initiative concerns voiced by UI professors
In the spirit of shared governance, University of Illinois professors met with university officials on Monday to ask questions and offer feedback on one of the administration's top priorities: online education.
The UI's online education initiative, called Global Campus, calls for creating a for-profit, limited liability company. Students from across Illinois, or even around the globe, could one day enroll in online degree programs for nursing, engineering and other subjects. The plan calls for enrolling the first students in January 2008.
