Study shows Urbana hospitals strong in heart care

URBANA – Your chance of walking out of a hospital alive after a major illness or surgery depends increasingly on what hospital treats you, according to a new national study released Monday.

A new study by HealthGrades, a leading health care ratings company, found that more than 300,000 lives could have been saved between 2003 and 2005 if those patients had been admitted to top-rated hospitals.
