Carle fails to get Coles County surgicenter OK

CHICAGO – Carle Foundation Hospital officials say they'll keep trying to win state approval to build an outpatient surgery center in Coles County.

The Illinois Health Facilities Planning Board Tuesday declared an "intent to deny" Carle a certificate of need – which is necessary for the surgery center to be built.
