Area park projects net state support

SPRINGFIELD – Four local parks will share more than $1 million in Open Space Land Acquisition Development grants, Gov. Rod Blagojevich announced on Thursday.

"We live in a beautiful state, and enjoying the outdoors is a key to our quality of life," he stated in a written release. "These grants we're announcing today mean people in central Illinois will have even more opportunities to enjoy the outdoors."
