Newman Center gets formal go-ahead to start Phase II of expansion effort
CHAMPAIGN – St. John Catholic Newman Center today got formal approval to proceed with a $28 million expansion.
Center staff and Bishop Daniel Jenky, head of the Peoria Diocese, will meet at the campus location on the northeast corner of Armory Avenue and Sixth Street on Dec. 2 for a formal ground-breaking for Phase II of improvements for Newman.
