Recount finished, but result remains uncertain
DANVILLE – A recount of the 2005 Newell Township road commissioner race finally ended Monday, but the situation is still uncertain.
"Basically, we've been up there for four days to find out nothing," said Richard "Pete" Powell, the Newell Township road commissioner, whose election to the office in April 2005 is being challenged in the courts by his opponent, Bruce Andrews.
