Tuscola captures Class 1A state football title
Tuscola quarterback John Wienke passed for 384 yards and four touchdowns to lead the Warriors to a 35-20 victory over Aledo and the IHSA Class 1A state championship Friday afternoon at Memorial Stadium in Champaign.
It was the first state title in any sport in the school's history.
