UI senate withholds endorsing online education plan
The faculty-student senate at the University of Illinois has decided to withhold its endorsement of the university's current plan for expanding online education.
That's not to say the faculty and students are opposed to expanding online education. Nor are they opposed to the stated goals of the UI's online education initiative, which include offering a quality, affordable and accessible college education to people who may not be able to go to one of the UI's campuses.
