Urbana alderwoman changes mind on exemption

URBANA – The alderwoman who suggested exempting homeowners who rent out a single room in their homes from Urbana's proposed rental registration ordinance said Monday that she no longer backs that idea.

Alderwoman Danielle Chynoweth, D-Ward 2, said she talked Saturday with Mayor Laurel Prussing and decided to withdraw her backing for the exemption, which Prussing strongly opposed.
